that's an impressive amount of mods for only wanting to put down 500awhp and tq... an fp-red is definately an awesome turbo, i may switch, but with ur mods, you could do a 6262 and make into the 600's!!
I haven't touched my head, block, tranny, or t-case and I'm making 500awhp on a gt30r with hks 280's, arp head studs, hks cam gears, hks timing belt, HKS hi-power 30th anniv. exhaust, 1000cc inj, hks dli, hks fuel rail, hks fcon vpro, alky injection, ams uicp, custom licp, dump tube to the ground, running speed density, turbo xs fmic, tial bov, tial 38mm wg, exedy twin hd, agency power front and side motor mounts, 255 Walbro fuel pump, just sold my 19x8 OZ Superleggeras, put on the stock enkei's, and prolly a bunch of other things i can't think of at the moment.
I'm not trying to jack your thread, and I wish you luck on the build, im just saying you should aim for higher hp since you put so much money into it, it's basically bullet proof, ya know?

I am also keeping in mind though that Buschur's dyno has been known as a "heartbreaker" - so on his dyno ( AWD mustang) I am pushing for into the 500's.

Which dyno did you have your car on? Dynojet or Mustang?

its a dynojet... i've been on the mustang dyno too. it's about 15% lower results than the dynojet. but the mustang dyno compensates for "Wind resistance and vehicle weight" by having a guy select ur car from a list on the computer... my car weighs less than stock, and I didn't know the exact weight at the time of the pull, so he just put me in at stock. Also, I have a lowered car, with a lip, vortex generator, jdm 9 rear, and so my wind resistance is going to be different than a stock Evo VIII too... Buschur is a shop that does mostly Evo's...so u should be fine, but the place i went did mostly cobalts-they were a new shop and were having a dynoday so I stopped in. wanted to know how different my numbers would be. lol

yea im pretty confident about the tuning.. Dave ( Buschur) does the tuning himself when the car has an AEM, which mine does. I had another evo before and was going to do E85 on it, but keep the stock ECU, but then i would have had to take it to AMS in Chicago, bc Dave emailed me and said he'd rather not tune E85 on the stock ecu..

the tuning should be done in the next week or so ( cross your fingers), so ill post up the numbers and see what ya'll think.
