Ya that's true, turbo on a DD would be fine. I just wonder about the winters, here in western NY it can be brutal. Usually power and snow don't mix unless you have awd lol.

Oh yea, i forgot your lancer doesnt come awd. I love the fact that my awd combined with good amount of torque helps me alot in the snow.

you're running the same platform as i am even though mine is an eclipse but i gotta tell you, it's a bitch going turbo with these engines and ECU's. first off, mitsu designed the ECU as a locked system. now, i know you can go with a stand alone system but the problem is that our ECU's control EVERYTHING on the car. that means, PW, PDL, sunroof, headlights, brake lights, etc. so, just know that you've got quite alot of obstacles ahead of you. i do know of some that are running turbo but only 7-9 psi. this while running the AEM FIC. if you want to know more, i suggest talking to mike w from RRE.

RRM has a turbo kit out for my car. I think its using a stand alone or a piggyback, but apparently they have it tuned to put out 245whp at 6-7 psi. Only prob is it's $4k. I'll bet I could build my own for less and then have my local shop do the tune. They are lancer tune experts. They have an stock block evo VIII running 9 secs 1/4 miles. I believe it's under 500 hp running 9's. They say it's all in the tune.

There's a guy on our local forum who is also on evom who had that exact setup with the RNR turbo kit on his lancer (the older one). It ran off a piggy back and he made about the same type power of 230-240ish. He had that car for a hot min so those kits are pretty reliable.
